ok noted with a D thank you . I am new to coin collecting and I have found a doubled die 1992 D "IGWT" is doubled , liberty is doubled and the date. it does not have a close am oh and on the reverse side One cent is doubled. I have found nothing on 92 dds only all the close am stuff
Here is an illustration by Charles Daughtrey that really helped me understand the difference between Doubled Die and Machine Doubling Here is some information about 1992-D DDR
There are only (4) 1992D doubled dies listed on Wexler's site and they are all reverse doubling of the pillars. Check the pillars on the memorial and see if you have a match at www.doubleddies.com.
Try moving your camera closer to let the coin fill up the shot. Also, the photo of the 1995 coin does not appear to be a doubled die, but instead machine doubling or simply shadowing from the strike.
Not a doubled die, I could see split plate doubling on one of them.....common and worth nothing. The 1992D Lincolns are well-known for machine doubling and DDD (Die Deterioration Doubling)....again, worth no premium, see pic. The only type of doubling that commands a premium is hub doubling.
Well I have this 1992 d Penny's that I think have doubling on front for coin ...and the back....can please tell me more about it and what is the value ?????? THANKS
