I bought these on a whim a while back. I believe them all to be 1xP and 1xD 2009 Lincoln Cents. One of the boxes is opened and I've taken some rather poor photographs to show that the coins are BU and in their original wrappers. I have two other boxes that are still sealed. I have no idea what to do with them and they just sit in a drawer. Any ideas or suggestions? Comments are always welcome even if you're just going to tell me to spend them, mock my photography efforts, or my purchase.
Selling them anywhere except in your hometown, face-to-face, postage will absolutely kill you. Deposit them to your bank account (they generally won't refuse any kind of deposit), then write a check for cash later in the week. They aren't worth the hassle. [I didn't see any photos?]
These are special mint wrapped rolls of a one year design commemorating Lincoln's 200th birthday. It looks like there are four rolls to a box? Since there doesn't appear to be all that many rolls per box I would keep them intact and sell the boxes as-is as individual collector's items.
So I honestly don't know... they are Lincoln Heads on both sides. I'm assuming whoever sold them purposely took out the two tails ends on the opened box that only has 1xP and 1xD
They are not worth much now but maybe in 75 year's you might have a jewel keep them if not for the value but for the conversion peace !
LP3 is Professional Life, they should say it on the roll what they are, they come 2 rolls to a box from the mint an i've seen them listed on ebay for around $6 a box...
Back to the postage factor on eBay; if you net $5.25 after eBay fees, considering they represent $1 in face value, you must ship them for $4.25 or less to break even, i.e., taking them to the bank. I don't know what the rolls and their box weigh; if they have to go Priority, I doubt you can ship them for $4.25 - and yet I think they would languish forever on CraigsList, where you have the added hassle of dealing with trolls and psychopaths. Not very encouraging numbers, sorry. The best choice might be to stick them in your coin club's auction, if you belong to a club in your area.
Theses are original rolls from the mint, and they are from the " Formative Years " at least the one I circled, check the one next to it, then post an image, I can tell you what it is, or better yet, now you know where to look
right, professional life, heres a link that shows doubled dies for them, if you think its worth it you could break open the rolls an search them or sell them as is an let some one else search them... http://doubleddie.com/90701.html
Added that website to my long list of "collectibles" bookmarks, always glad to find something new - thanks.
