Anybody want to piggyback on my economy submission let me know. I make no money off it, you will be charged the cost of submission plus shipping from pcgs and shipping from me to you. Contact me if interested.
There has been a pretty good response so far. You will need to take photos of your coins before sending them to me, on the off chance two people have the same coin.
depending on how many coins we submit as a group, price is usually 22-24 per coin. plus shipping from me to you
If you get a lot of moderns to submit, I would call them just to make sure, it not a issue to mix it up like that, its usually a no no ....
If you have a good four coins to send in then it might be best just to get a gold membership with PCGS. You can send in 4 coins for free minus the shipping charges. It's $149 for the gold but I went platinum because I wanted the polo shirt to look cool.
@Rick Stachowski @bkozak33 - Wait, so you can't submit any 1965- modern coins under the economy/regular/etc service levels at PCGS? It must be the modern tier? Am I understanding this right?
I think you can. I have submitted a modern coin in each of my last two submissions. They may frown on submitting a monster box of ase, but not sure why they would care, as they make 4.00 a coin more.
PM inbound. And I usually send at least 10 per submission and always sneak in a modern or two with no issue.
That's why I'm confused about @Rick Stachowski comment. The reason I'm curious is I already contacted you about submitting coins a month or so ago and am weighing submitting coins on my own behalf by just purchasing a platinum membership. I thought I had read all the details/instructions but I don't recall any restriction on sending 1965-date coins via economy/regular/express. The only restrictions I thought were non-gold and less than $300 for economy. The reason I'm concerned is that my submission would likely include 5 moderns and 3 pre-65 coins (1 being gold) and assumed that the 8 coin voucher I'd be receiving for submission under the regular tier would let me grade these coins. Hmm, I'm perplexed. Maybe I'll shoot PCGS another email, but they still haven't responded to one I sent about a week ago.
I just sent an email to PCGS customer service. Hopefully they get back to me. Like I said, I sent them an email a week or so ago and still have not heard back. I will update when I know anything concerning this modern question. Sorry to hijack your thread
