Yo, I ordered my coins on 12/11 and finally got some movement. Ouch, sounds like the US Mint was constipated and finally got some relief! Sounds about right!!

Almost everybody here announced their order either ship out or in process. Except Krispy. I wonder why?.

 

I think you are wrong on that one.

Who in their right mind would return ANY of these. Low mintages and practically sold out from day one. Plus unopened sets on eBay were selling double. Put them there and make money instead of sending back rejects, duh.

Of course some people returned a few, but not nearly enough to fulfill all these outstanding orders.

What makes more sense is the mint made half or 25,000 and they immediately sold out due to their marketing error and thus had to play catch up through the holidays on a product they probably assumed was lack luster until they arrived with that different finish and the word got out to us collectors.

That would be my guess. I just don't see folks returning these sets when money was being made on unopened sets all over eBay from day one.

C'mon processing....

Anyway was watching the Mike Mezak show on HSN (dont buy just learn) - he had acquired 5% of the 50,000 and was selling the sets with a ANACS EU69 (zero EU70 came back) for $150 plus shipping. He was gushing over this coin.

 

Busy with life, of course. 12/14 order still in backorder status. These coins pale in comparison to this one... Haven't you been watching, Elaine? Current bid is $5,450. Seems your estimates and eBay tracking have been seriously outperformed!

How to tell the coin is position A OR B?

 

POSITION A - Edge lettering reads upside-down when the President's portrait faces up
POSITION B - Edge lettering reads normally when the President's portrait faces up

President and Sacagawea are interchangeable here.

My December 11th order arrived just now. Edge lettering is position B.

 

Ah, I got an email yesterday that my other account 5 shipped yesterday, although it's not showing up in the tracking system yet.
