Fingerprint or no fingerprint, I still want to call it a 64.
Or maybe it's just a little... odd looking.

Sorry but I'm just not seeing a MS, or at most a low MS, coin. Am I the only one that sees the wear along the hairline on the forehead and bun, the abrasions in the fields in front of the bust and the apparent orange peel to the left and bottom of the bust? Not to mention several scrapes on the reverse. I'm not knocking the coin, it's a dandy, just honestly grading it as if I had it high on my want list.

I voted MS66, but the coin is truly BU (Butt Ugly).

Can you see a reason why it wouldn't CAC and later sell in your store for at least $75? Before you answer, I still remember the appearance of your AU CAC SLQ that's been sitting there, forever.

I can imagine that it would earn a CAC sticker and that anyone could ask any amount they like on the coin.

The guy on tv said with the price of silver rising 300% in last 5 years it was guaranteed to appreciate in value!!! But you had to hurry because the price was only guaranteed for 10 days???

  14. Just my 2 cents--and I'm probably way off base, lol. I have big issues with coins like these. First of all can you really say a coin is really uncirculated--if it has been touched by hands(fingerprints). Then toning while it may be pretty at times--it can also cover up a lot of things, imho. How can you tell luster on a coin like this(again it's probably my inexperience). The top 2 images--I don't see any detail what so ever. As I said--I probably need to learn a lot for toned coins like this but I wouldn't buy this one. Hope I'm not offending anyone

So you admit fingerprints mean circulation. Thus it can not be uncirculated, right? lol

Not that I like finger prints, but they have absolutely nothing to do with circulating a coin. First of all, every graded coin has been "touched by hands". Watch this if you don't believe me (particularly at about 2:00).

You can also have a very high mint state "uncirculated" coin that has actually been circulated. So the names are kinda silly really.

Uncirculated simply means no trace of wear; it does not mean no fingerprints.

I don't know about you, but, I'm used to the term circulation strike or business strike.
