My grandfather (deceased 20 years now) was on the board of a local bank. They paid him $300 for each board meeting in crisp, new 100 bills. My mother and I recently discovered a number of small bank envelopes in his old fine cabinet. Each contained three mint condition 100's. We have 15 total, including two series of three, and two consecutives. They are all 1981. I will have time to post pictures in a couple of days. Are these valuable?

What is the federal reserve bank city? The city name is indicated by the black seal on the left and can also be identified by the black number that appears 4 times.

I'd say you definitely have keepers by the sound of their condition and the fact some are consecutive. Are you sure they are 1981 and not 1981A? Also, what blocks do you have (for example, B-A, L-B, etc.)?

They say 1981 on them, not 1981A, so I guess so. Where do I look for the blocks?

The letters before and after the serial numbers make up the block.
Serial number B07741002A would be a B-A block.
