Well, that was a nice haul! Two boxes of nickels yielded 60 pre-1960, including two silvers, and two hole fillers for me, 1954-S and 1939-S. I'm really stoked about the 1939-S! I also found a 1969 20 rappen from Switzerland, a 2007 50 lipa from Croatia, 2 dimes, and a penny.

Well I bought $50 in cents $200 nickels and $250 dimes from a local bank that rolls their own coins rather than buying them from the armored service so I consider them all customer wrapped in a way. Here's most of the results.
    Cents
    5 Canadians
    28 wheats 1929 oldest the rest 40's and 50's
    Nickels
    1898 V
    1912V
    4 Canadian
    7-1939
    1-1938
    1-1938s
    1-1939s
    122-40's only 4 silvers
147-50's including a 1959 with all steps except for a small blend in the lower steps
    41-60's
    1973s proof
    Dimes
    1-1960
    1-1964
    6-with reverse die clashes
also I have two red solo cups of mm coppers that I have to look at for rpm's
    not too bad I reckon

I never will forget the first Bahamas star fish cent we found. It was 09 and my nephew was 7 I had surgery and was off work so he stayed with me a lot and I had seen the new lincolns so I figured we would start roll searching something I never done before then. We were both having fun finding a few wheats and tons of the new 09 design when a MS grade toned star fish fell out it was pretty cool. Since then we've found several different foreigns other than Canada but that one will always have a spot in my 2x2 album of FIR coins.

MKent, not too bad? That sounds outstanding to me! Here I was all excited about my 60 pre-1960 nickels, and then you go and post that awesome haul from the same amount of nickels. Well done!

I also filled 6 holes in my found in rolls jefferson folder so that was real cool. My eyes aren't too good so I have a hard time with rpm's and other stuff even with magnification I give out too easy. Maybe when the grand babies get older they will check em for me or I can teach my nephew what to look for. In the mean time though I have fun and when I find a 39D, 43D, 49S, and 50D I will start on another one. I'm keeping everything before 1964 so I'm not going to start from scratch. Just curious has anyone found any of these searching rolls? I could buy em cheap enough but wheres the fun in that. Besides when I buy a Jeff it's Gem Bu for the Dansco I'm working on.

It's been a couple of years since I've searched boxes. I ordered a box of dimes and halves from my bank. They no longer get h.e. String rolls but loomis rolls. I found one 40% half and one 90% dime. Not sure it's worth it yet.

Looking for 1998-200 WAM's. Do you know how hard it is to find any pennies without a "D" on them in Seattle? In the last 3000 cents I've looked at there were 3 1998-P, no 1999-P, and no 2000 P's.
Maybe I'll start looking for something else.

Here on the east cost, newer "D" coins are far less common. You see a few, but it'll take awhile before the 2014-D's make it eastward. Out of curiosity, how often do you find "S" coins on the west coast? When I lived in SF I wasn't really into coins, but I did notice a few more older "S" pennies in my change.

Quite a few 1969-S cents, a lot fewer from the 70's.
