I saw this sweet lil' ram and I tossed-down an initial estimate (I peed on it) ...

=> man, I love it when those initial bids run the gauntlet and score!!

Sure, I admit that this coin is not centered perfectly, but it is well struck and a super cool lil' 2400 year old 9mm sweetie-pie!!

welcome, lil' fella ... go run around in the pasture with the other animal coins!! (be free)

No wonder ancients are often corroded, if that's how you guys treat them. Also, explains why most of you guys prefer your coins unslabbed. Bunch of fetishists.[IMG]

Actually, that's pretty damn good centering and detail for a 9mm coin. Nice catch!

that's a cool little coin stevex...the ram is cool, but that female head is interesting as well.

nice color also...looks more obsidian black than dark green?

you are seriously collecting coins that were previous collected by pathologist aren't your? isn't this your third one?? :woot:

I was guessing the same thing about you. Cat people are the only ones I know, who let a pet go indoors and with time, grow immune to the scent of ammonia in their household. Hope your collection smells a bit better than a litter box.:p

    $45 seems reasonable.

Cool pickup! I have a few rams of Kebren, though none are as nice as yours. Three coins, but one has two heads... will that count as four rams?

Kopi luwak coffee, refers to the seeds of coffee berries once they have been eaten and defecated by the Asian palm civet. It has been called one of the most expensive coffees in the world with retail prices reaching €550 / US$700 per kilogram. I've had this coffee while working in the Philippines. I couldn't tell the difference. Anyway, if coffee can be processed this way, I would assume coins can be "cleaned" as well. I'm just not certain I want to take that chance with one of my more expensive coins.
