1938 S/S Buffalo Nickel?

    This is about the best I can do for photo. I know there is mashing going on here but I'm pretty sure I can see the curvature of a secondary S on this. What do 1 buffalo rpm 2.jpg you think? My mistake this is a 1935.

    I'm not completely sure by the photos, it might just be a deteriorated die causing that, I see signs of die deterioration coin the coin. Maybe filled "S", maybe one slightly less magnified photo may help.

    Looks like something under the top stamped S - can't tell for sure. Maybe tone down the lighting.

    Good observation - I missed it! 5 is pretty close to 8 on the keyboard :)
