it does not look natural. sorry. ya learn as you go. God knows I have learned on a few toned coins. chalk it up as a learning experience.
It looks like Liberty has a lot of marks on her face for a 63. Hard to tell what the toning is hiding in the image. I feel PCGS or NGC would detail grade it because of the toning. With that said, I still think it's a pretty coin.
And he is full of crap. It's been 50 years since he was a young collector...plenty of time for toning to occur.

IIRC, he walked that statement back a bit after he made it. His point was that all rainbow toned Peace Dollars should be scrutinized for originality, and when in doubt, err on the side of caution.
Looking back at this thread ive armed myself with experience and knowledge since 1-15. Definitely AT and ICG should be ashamed of themselves lol
