Im about ready to slam my head into the wall. I sold a 1901 un Peso nicely toned.

I get a message from the buyer that the coin is fake, and she wants a return.

I told her Im sure the coin is real, but of course you can return the coin, I have a 14 day return policy.

She responds, its not silver, when i throw it against the table it doesnt sound like silver.

I respond " please stop throwing it against the table and return it. I will pay for shipping back to me."

    she responds ok.

I get the coin today, and she was nice enough to clean it for me, before she returned it.:banghead: What do I do?

Throw her against a table? Is that acceptable?

I would definitely take that up with Ebay because the product was not returned in it's original condition.

First off, let me say how sorry I am to see such a thing.....that would be a nightmare!

As for a fix, I'd scream and curse at the wall....maybe bang my fist in the table a few times, (secretly cry a bit, but don't tell anyone). Then I'd tell myself not to sweat the small stuff in life because all it's doing is shortening my life and it's not worth the stress. Then I'd send her a refund and be done with it.
    But that's just me :)

No. She started a return process, so once it tegisters on ebay as delivered. The only option i believe is to refund.

Email her and tell her the coin is not in the same condition as shipped. Call ebay, make sure they will protect you, then ship it back to her.

Make sure you screencap everything you can. If she is this stupid, then I bet she wouldn't hesitate to lie on a moment's notice.

Coin was what? 30 bucks or so? Refund her and forget about it...not worth the drama.

How much has the coin lost in value? It really sucks but I'd probably just eat the loss and give her a full refund. It beats dealing with Ebay customer service and the potential negative feedback that she could give.

    Sorry to hear that:
    a) she decided to slam the coin on a table
    b) decided to give your coin a bath

I'm not sure which makes me sicker.

If it were me, I'd contact eBay and talk to them and get advice. I understand both the idea of "life being too short" & "she needs to learn a lesson". I think you'll likely wind up giving her a full refund.

After giving her the refund (which will likely happen), I would send her a very direct, but not confrontational, e-mail, explaining exactly what she did wrong.

The cleaning of the coin should give you the juice to not have to issue a return, but I'm not holding out hope as I don't think you'll talk to a coin nerd at eBay.

I spoke with Ebay, and they said they cant do anything about it. As long as there is record of her sending a package to me, once it is delivered they will issue a refund. He said they can alter the product, they can send a blank envelope, and we have to take the loss.
