Good thing you are so up on it. Next time you find a 1968 no S dime, just send it in to get graded.... unless you think they will switch it out on you, too.

I think it's time to build a canned reply, including a link to this thread, for the semi-monthly "I'M NEW HERE WHY ARE YOU ALL SO MEAN TO ME" posts.

No! What you will end up doing is submitting it for grading and discover that it IS NOT the "No S" proof dime, thereby wasting about $30. Then, you'll feel foolish and won't bother to post the results.

You ask for help, and then don't take it when there are members here, who collectively, have hundreds of years of experience.

Herewith I post my response to someone who asks a question about something which they don't know about and refuses to accept the answer from those who do:

    OK.

It's hard to have your dreams crushed. It's like hearing your Mega Ball numbers called out and discovering you forgot to buy the ticket.

There are a lot of us who have the 1968 "No P" uncirculated dime. I do, but I'm not going to waste one single KB taking a photo of it.

And anyways what good would it do these guys to lie to you about what you have? You came here asking for help they gave it to you and now you want to get mad about the answer. If you didn't want to know what everyone thought you shouldn't of asked

I just wanna point out that I answered this guy's question 8 minutes after his initial post...This all could have been finished 3 pages ago...(I'm kinda glad it isn't) :p

I just had a terrible thought! What if the OP finds the other five "No S" proof coins?

Well he originally posted the same coin in 2 separate threads so I'm guessing that that will be 10 more threads started :)

Hey Burt.. Have you ever heard of the LOBERTY Cent? How about a Canadian Cent with a blank reverse? Listen and learn!

Nah! He'll claim that the dime he gets back isn't the same coin and that the TPG's switched it out on him.

Some of these folks have their minds made up that they've found a $48,000 coin and nothing ANYBODY can say or do will ever change their minds. The world is full of crooks and this fella is probably kicking himself for even showing up on this forum and is probably convinced that someone will track his IP address and show up in his house tonight or next week just to steal his "precious".

My advice to the OP, submit it for grading and just enjoy your windfall. wink.gif

    I'll do it!

Here's mine. The gubmint included it in my 1968 Mint Set. They even threw in a 1968 No Washington Quarter and a 1968 No S Lincoln Cent.

Nah! He'll probably list it on SleazeBay as a raw "No S" dime.
