Coins with Sweet Looking Animals?

What else is out there? I'm looking for a cool animal like a tiger, lion, elephant, ect on older world coins.

I really like this one but the price is too high for my interest.

Ethiopian coins from the early 1900's are affordable and have a sweet lion on them.

Cameroon has a fierce looking rooster.

Many coins of the British empire feature lions.

 

Flying eagle cent!!! I love that bird!

 

Lots of Conder tokens have animals.

 

The Pidcock series of Conder tokens has quite a few cool animal designs.

 

Anyone know who made this image?

 

It looks like the style of something that shylock would have made.

 

Translation: Any animal on any "older" coin of the World.

Somehow I was reminded of these two coins in my collection. Maybe they will initiate some ideas for you.


This one is a 1913 5 mark design by Mr. Goetz & it is not the design that was adopted for use. At first glance, I originally saw the eagle as a griffin animal.


This one is from ancient times minted in a place called Sikyon (quite near to Athens Greece). The animal is a Chimera (part lion, with an extra goat head, & snake tail).
