Here are the 1949 PDS Franklins for my toner Dansco. The D was cracked out of a PCGS MS64FBL slab (if reslabbed I think it has a definite shot at an upgrade), the other two were bought raw. 1949 is a tough year for toning, with toning tending to be more subtle than in your face. The coins were imaged by Bob Campbell, and I think he did an excellent job.
I'm not a Franklin collector except for a few circulated bullion coins but that is really a nice looking set of 49's.
About 4 years ago I had a chance to buy a full Dansco with album toned mostly BU examples and it was missing the 55. He wanted $650 and I got it down to $565 and tried to get him to throw in a 55 and he didn't. I walked and I have been kicking myself ever since.
I have a nice collection of Franklin half's & I would say your 1949 is AU+ . I would pay $38 for it .
