Slaton man deposits 500 pounds of pennies

Accumulated since 1952, and apparently the only searching he's done is to save out some of "the shiny ones" -- to build into a room divider!

What do you suppose you might turn up in a hoard of cents dating back to 1952? Sure, it's actually "1952 to present", so probably mostly LHCs -- but I'd sure love to buy a bucket or so for searching. 1955 DD, anyone?

Someone asked in another post as to why anyone would want to search through rolls and bags of coins when most of the good ones were gone. This is a perfect example. You just never know.

Add my name to that bucket list. Probably could find some early date wheat cents in good condition.
