No need for a flameproof jacket. You are entitled to your opinion. I appreciate a good honest exchange. I don't consider what you typed as honey or vinegar, just a straight shot with your opinion. To be commended. I do not look for tone or see tone in forum exchanges. I like good humor, many members here know what that is. Just imagine that almost everything I type is a razz and I do it with a smile on my face. Those who look for and find tone in forum text, are usually the first ones to crumble.

Anyone notice that I'm not even upset about the flasher? I even volunteered the location of the original flasher post. Fine, difference in taste when it comes to humor (all of a sudden and with significant delay), despite his many likes, but, what happened to the important part of my post? I had a review with my own scans and images get deleted with that post. Why?

I enjoy these types of threads the most. To me, that is the definition of forum participation.

 

See, that's part of the problem. Nobody else is enjoying it as a thread about coins gets turned into yet another jeremiad about the evils of persecution at the hands of moderators.

Maybe it's all just part of your schtick -- I mean, you spell it out right there in your tagline -- but, really, it isn't funny. At least, not to me, and apparently not to a lot of the other folks here. It's just tiring.

"I was only joking, you people who are offended just have no sense of humor" is the last refuge of a person who can't stop putting his foot in his mouth.

 

There are plenty of threads, I'm not in most of them. This site has its share of issues, without my involvement. Maybe, we should have a special section for less sensitive individuals.

I just wanted to know what happened to my post, the part that was on topic and informative. Maybe you're right, too much to ask, I'll just forget about it.

 

I have no idea what the last 2 pages of this thread are about. I don't know what the flasher is, why it was removed by a moderator, or why toronto is peeved that it was removed.

That said, there is a ton of good information and dissenting opinions in this thread

 

After the recent thread about the coin rolls, I would remind people of the pitfalls of eBay--don't buy from unreliable sellers, and don't buy raw if you don't know what you're doing--learn the history, grading, and background information of the series you're collecting before trying the raw market. Not saying don't buy raw, but please study and be careful!!
