I have been looking for a good way to store my mint set collection but have had some trouble finding a good way. I want to store them without being in the original paper envelopes. I know there are a lot of cardboard storage boxes, but I do not want to store them in cardboard. I would prefer a plastic box, but I can't find one specifically made for them. My first choice would be to store them in Mylar binder pages. This would make them easily viewable. I know Eagle used to make such a page, but I can no longer find them anywhere. I can only find the Eagle pages for proof sets. Any suggestions? How do you guys store your sets? Thanks.

Do the proof pages work ok with the mint sets?

Yes - cause proof sets are in thicker plastic holders that can't overlap in the holder pockets and mint sets are in mylar/plastic film (?) that can be overlapped on the crimped edges without interfering with viewing the coins. Will work with normal sized mint set packaging but I'm not sure about the packaging containing more than the usual 5 or 6 coins. At 5$ a binder page try a few to see if they fit your needs!!

I used the Eagle pages for years, but they had drawbacks. Not only were they expensive, but the sheer weight of the Mint sets caused them to crack at the ring binder holes. They were also inconvenient when you had to remove the Mint sets for photos.

The storage boxes allow you to store about 40-50 years in one box. You can only store 2 years in each plastic page. The boxes allow you to access coins easily for photos.

That's fine for storing the coins in the Mint boxes but he stated he doesn't want to store them in boxes made of cardboard and Not in the OGP!!

Thank you guys for the responses. I will probably try the eagle pages. I'm somewhat familiar with the cracking issue. I use the Mylar supersafe pages which have a tendency to crack. Thankfully, I have an impulse sealer and can usually fix the crack, depending on where it is. Idk if you guys have ever used the lighthouse capsule pages, but they are really nice. They are much stronger than anything else I have seen. I wish they made mint set pages!
