I need to update to say that upon close examination my gift appears to be a good candidate for the 1884 O VAM-48a!

It's a Photo from Coin World,Fake ??? I do not think so "just a bad copy of photo

 

Not much about it looks like mine, the date is much smaller and the mint ark is much larger. There could just be varieties that I'm not not aware of though.

 

Apparently my secret Santa fell off a roof and had to have back surgery. Today I received an unsolicited bubble mailer and I thought he had recovered enough to get to the post office but no. Maybe I'll have a secret valentine ( don't tell my wife).

It was just 2 quarters from one of the magazines I subscribe to. 2014 P&D circulation strikes that fell out of their flip and rattled around in the mailer with no letter or anything else. Anybody else have these show up? It was from F&W media who owns a couple of coin magazines.

 

Have not "heard", mail wise, from my S.S. either. But as I wrote before, customs may slow things down. Earlier this week (7 Jan) I got a package from California that had been mailed on 13-Nov ... Almost two months.

I know that he did receive them, but not sure why he hasn't posted them.

Mea Culpa, mea culpa (I'm guilty). I received my Secret Santa gift lying flat on my back (which has an 8-inch scar from back surgery, to say nothing of what they did to my neck) in a hospital. It was a huge surprise and warmed the cockels of my heart (or that might have been hospital food : - )). Have tried to take pics, but with a neck brace on, I'm not doing so good. I got: 1965 SMS (never had one), 2009 ASE, 2010-D one-cent PCGS sample slag and a 2003 silver proof set. Thank you, thank you, thank you Santa, you helped make a hospital stay less painful!!!

 

These days you should refrain then from doing what that duck in your avatar does. Seems your SS present arrived at the right time!
