Without the aid of a scope I'm wondering if anyone can tell me if they think this is an RPM or not. There is no listing I can find for D/S so maybe a S/S?
tough to be sure from this image but it has a better than 50% chance that it is. I lean toward the possibility as it looks right when I magnify the image. Still the image is not large enough to be completely sure.
Merely enlarging an image isn't the solution. You need a good macro lens or even better, a microscope to take a good close-up like below. Chris
The problem is my girlfriend did not ask me enough about the scope in advance and ordered it online and it's coming from China so has to pass customs. Go figure. Her heart was in the right place though.
No such variety as a 1935 D/S there is a D/D it's a filled S or die chip. Scope or not you can't see the primary mark to be any shape but mashed. You can see the top of the S . That said I'm thinking it's a die chip .
