And 20th Century. The Babloas (plus a US Carver/Washington Commemorative Half) were actually from the dealer's junk silver and cost melt plus a tiny premium. I just love these big silver coins and wished we still used them. 1947 Panama "Un Balboa" (silver). great news... I got both coins today and my girlfriend got her macro lens. here's the pics with her new macro lens. we still need to get a tripod for her camera. I am happy for now, but she is still learning how to take better pics. the Belgium coin looks whiter because of the flash. it is really just a pretty brown with hints of red luster in the hand. But you can see the detail of coin much better in these pics. I will take many more pics of it with better natural light. the 1/25th of an oz. Ukraine gold coin is very small...I put it next to a penny to show you the scale.
This is the only world coin I have purchased. I was at a coin show and saw this from the other side of the venue. Among the thousands maybe millions of coins I could have chose from this ended up in my possession.
just discovered this brass 2014 Hungary coin with stylized Bee...2000 forint denomination on Ebay features Anniv. of Death of András Fáy. bought it for the "coins with insects" collection. there is a 5000 forint denomination silver proof out now too, but that 1 can wait awhile. sellers pic: it is my first coin buy for 2015.
Here are my two new purchases for this week. First is a Saudi Arabian 1 riyal, its silver but I havent figured out what the date is yet. The second is a Vatican city 1963 500 lire.
