Many Coin Talk members have probably been busy with Christmas things. Merry Christmas to all CT members, and Thank You for all of your useful info.
Great note! I'd seen the "4" on the left as a counter in an ABNCo Archive portfolio, but hadn't found an actual usage. Gorgeous!
Large size FRN's may not be as popular as some of the other types, but I love the reverse designs of these notes. .
KSorbo, those are my favorite series. That 10 is a nice looking one. But for today, I got a National Type 2 $10.
That's a nice looking National! I only own one of the types (the large size $5 Plain Back) but the others are high on my list.
I'm trying to get a large and small National form every city my children lived or were born in. West Allis is a western suburb of Milwaukee Wisconsin. Their notes don't turn up very often. They were the only bank in this suburb when National's were issued. We lived here when my son was born. The last $20 auctioned was in November of 2011. I was outbid on that one. The highest grade I have seen on a twenty, was a VF grade, nothing in the Heritage Archives shows better. I graded this as a VF20, so it is in keeping with the rest of their $20 notes. I would have liked a XF, but I am not sure they exist.
