I managed to pick up a few ancients before the end of the year, and it was a bit of a surprise. The coin store I go to is not known for having ancients so when I saw a few of them I had to pick through them. Thrace Maroneia 400-350 B.C. Obv: Horse prancing right, PNK monogram below Rev: MAR-WNI-TWN around linear square containing vine. VE monogram below not sure if I'm 100% correct on the exact identification though. Another surprise was that the coin came from Littleton. Had no idea they sold ancients, and luckily for me I didn't pay nearly what they are asking for on their site.
Ive had a few Littleton "ancients" that I have gotten on ebay, not knowing they were from them till the ticket came with it. Some of the coins are OK. They have them on their website but most are overpriced, as usual with their stuff. Thats a nice bronze, especially for them.
That's a pretty nice coin that once came from Littleton. Some time ago I looked at their coins and passed since the prices were high.
littleton the stamp people? i used to get stuff off them when i collected stamps as a kid...if that's the folks your talking about. well centered and a great color IR.
