I completed my first trade. I am very happy with the outcome, because I finally now got a start on my Ike Collection. I primarily collect Eisenhower Dollars, and Kennedy Dollars. From Me: - 1 1880S ms62 morgan dollar - 1 1925 MS62 Peace Dollar To Me: - All 4 Blue Ikes with original envelopes and COA MS65-66 - 5 Clad Business Strike Ikes (1971D, 1977D, 1776-1976D, 1972D, 1972) MS61-63 Note: The 1976D is a Peg Leg Type II. You can tell by the round tip instead of pointy on the counter (Round curved line that makes the letters P & R different.) Overall: I am very happy with the trade. The guy did all he could to make me happy with the trade. If you guys don't know Ralph Lowe Jr. He is a little moody, but will make sure you are happy with any deal no matter how much it takes, as long as the deal is still fair. Even though it took me a week practically to decide what I wanted. He even bought them for me for the trade. He recieved the coins I sent him first, and then I kind of changed my mind on what I wanted (Bad habit to be doing with collectors or dealers). Was all 3 sms (in OGP) and 2 PCGS dimes PR69DCAM (2000S Silver, and 1979S Type II). They didn't really fit into my collection, so I asked him if I could change it up. After 2 weeks or so, the deal was finally complete. Sources Used: http://www.ikegroup.info Final Note: If you got any Ike Dollars up for trade inbox me. Also if you know any websites or yourself have useful information on Ike Dollars inbox me. Any information is helpful to me!
Seems like a good deal. Next time know what you want and are willing to trade before going after it. Changing your mind in the middle of the transaction will not come across very well with most dealers and collectors especially if they had to acquire what you wanted to make the trade happen. I'm not trying to pick, just advice for the future.
Don't you love it when a good trade goes through , you get 2 happy collectors with new coins they both can enjoy . WTG .
Well done and a great post. I have traded coins many times and when there fair like the OP's example everyone is happy.
Nice trade! Collecting Ike's can be a lot of fun. The Ike Group web site is your best source of info.
