Hi Hugh. You might have me confused with Geekpride. I'm not trying to put together a strictly CAC collection. I do buy them and recently submitted some coins to CAC, but I own many (majority) of non CAC coins.

 

Not a lot. I been doing a big construction project that took all my time and money so I haven't been on a lot to lately any haven't bought much of anything. Went on a buying tear this summer anyway like I usually do so I got some nice stuff then tho nothing as high end as you. I see your still picking up the killer stuff!

 

I posted this here before but I think Hugh will like these and I do too so I'll post em again a couple of this years favorites

I received this low grade bust today.
Fun for a Hundred!

 

With 2014 coming to a close soon I wanted to share a coin that I had never expected to own.

Some here know I built a set of Lucilla silver denarii featuring all of her reverse types. There was 2 that are considered pretty rare so I never expected to own them. Well as luck would have it, I acquired one of them a month ago.

It was listed on ebay & I had to wait several days to get paid, meanwhile it was collecting watchers like crazy, but for some reason no one bought it, lucky for me! Plus, it was way less then I would have paid for the type.

A great cap to 2014 collecting.

I never tire of looking at the beauties you post as well the other members. My Grandpa had a saying "The first liar doesn't have a chance." I change it a little for CT and always think "The first poster doesn't have a chance." It seems like when your jaw drops the next post makes you slobber on your self. Y'all keep em coming.

Ain't never bought one of em off flea bay either! Ha stacks fellow ct members raw out of local auctions etc never been to a coin show tho I wanna go just got 2 business to run and have boycotted sleaze bay since 2005

 

Well I buy on eBay mainly because I only know about it and HA and just haven't tried it yet. What other auctions do you or others use? Don't worry about me sniping you I don't spend what it would take to buy the eye candy posted on here. I would like to check out more auctions to just to learn more about the grades of different type coins. Who knows I might find a bargain.
