Just received my own gifts for me today in the mail. 7,500 2009P Formative Years cents, 2,500 Professional Life 2009P cents and picked up 5,000 additional cents at the bank. And I'm currently working on an additional box of 2009P Formative cents, the first roll opened of which contained 16 WDDR-009 errors. I've got my work cut out for me, how about the rest of you? Of course I'm retired and just turned 60 yesterday, so I have plenty of time.
I have 19 days of leave so I have been hitting the bags and boxes pretty hard. Since Thursday I have done: $275 cents $200 nickels $2000 dimes and $4000 halves I have another $225 cents and $200 nickels. Will probably pick more up on Saturday.
well happy 60th tommy..as for what I will be doing I am making 3 coffee tables with Canadian pennies I have so many I give up on looking unless I come across anything while I am gluing them to top of table,,cheers
Sounds like you have it down to a science! Of course I'm looking for hard to find errors. Just opened another roll and found 3 more WDDR-009's. I have no clue what I'm going to do with all of them but I enjoy the learning experience.
Thank you Eddio. I have a friend in Fla. who did a pick up truck bed with pennies and seashells. Have fun with your project!
I have managed to get it down to a science . I search for a bunch of different varieties. I have never searched a bunch of the 09's at once though...only what has come from a mixed box. I've only managed to pull 3 or 4 different DDR's from what I've gone through.
My best friend of 46 years lives in So. Daytona and always manages to rub it in as I live in the N.E. He wears a sweater in 70 degree weather.
I'm about 300 miles ssw of Daytona on the gulf coast. Our average year-round temperature is 76. I have three light jackets and 4 long sleeve shirts in my wardrobe. Chris
I'm afraid I'm only doing my usual: digging through my change from stores to see if I have any winners. Nothing special this time of year unless it's on my Christmas wish list.
