I just mailed my package out today, I'm terribly sorry to my eventual recipient it should be there a day late according to the P.O. but it is on the way now. I meant to mail it last week but got sidelined with a nasty bug for a few days that my kids brought home and kind of lost a few days in the process.

Well, for me, and perhaps any other students visiting home over the holidays, I won't be able to check if it has been received until after Christmas. So if my Secret Santa is out there worrying, it will still be a little bit lol

I just got home after a ragged day in retail to find a surprise package in my mailbox from Germany! OMG!, and I planned to wait until Christmas. So far I've resisted the temptation. I have to work Christmas day so I might and I might not wait. I'll sleep on it. It'll be the second package I open. Gotta open the wife's first. Thanks, Santa

Happy to post that my Secret Santa package has arrived. :) My son wants me to rip into it. But I'm on to him. I will wait just like I told him he has to. Sly little guy for 5.

Now everyone is going to want your secret Santa for next year. :D Blozak33 is an example of one of the most difficult people to buy for. What do you get a coin dealer that has one of every coin in the World including a complete numismatic library and a complete personal collection of awesomely toned Kennedys?

Yes, I opened mine ... about 5 minutes after looking at it, it was so enticing.

And Santa was very good to me. There was probably a stocking full of things that I so appreciate!

Santa definitely knows I love the U.S. Modern coins, because there were two airtites with a Jeffie and a Washington quarter -- Very amazing the quarter is toned. Fun but difficult to photograph properly. These are as they were in the Airtites:

Jeff Nickel in Airtite.jpg quarter airtite 1955-horz.jpg

And current 2014 Jefferson -- BU with both D and P mintmarks! Jefferson Nickel 2014.JPG (will put up with closeups later)

And some real surprises for me --- new collectibles: My first ancients... These are really thin. I don't know a thing about them, so there will be a learning curve. I may have to start reading in the ancients section here. Perhaps someone will tell me about these:

Ancient No 1.jpg Ancient No 2.jpg

And a bit of Scriptophily with at outrageously sweet stock certificate: Love the engraved artwork and the really nice looking seal for the company. There will be a lot to learn about this one and I think I will be able to appreciate this more. Such a thoughtful gift!

If you haven't already explored this field, and you like the looks of this certificate, there are some really wonderful threads on the forum that will let you learn more and appreciate these sweet items!

Then also, Santa put in some foreign coins for me.. Here are some of the ones I didn't take individual pics of: Foreign Coins.JPG

There were more, but I was really intrigued by them I had to take individual pics:

    Australia 1942 Shilling.jpg
    French 10 Centime.jpg

    (to be continued)

Yes, those foreign coins are really wonderful ... but the biggest surprise in a Non-U.S. coin for me in this bunch, and super amazing (I love it, can you tell?)

    One Peso 1924 Christmas Gift.jpg

This one is really the best! Thank you so much for this, Santa! My very first ---- how did you know that this would be so amazing for me?

The U.S. coins which I gave thumbnails on that are sweet coins are these:

    Jefferson Nickel 2014D.jpg
    Jefferson Nickel 2014P.jpg

    and

    Jefferson Nickel 1959.jpg

    and
    Washington Quarter.jpg

Thank you so much, Santa! And thank you, Kirkuleez for having this all put together this year. It is wonderful beyond belief :)

You can read GALLIENUS AVG on one obverse legend and CONSTANTIUS on the other obverse legend. See what you can read in these legends (in-hand) and you can type the letters into Wildwinds.com & look for a match.:)

No just seeing everybody has been getting foreign. But since you told me I should go ahead and open it I guess lol. Hey foreign is still pretty cool I say. the stuff you sent me is awesome. Old stuff. I like it. The 1714 German 1 pfennig is pretty awesome. The three pence also caught my attention.

Foreign can usually be purchased pretty cheap in Stateside coin stores so when shopping on a budget you can get great quality for little price and maybe expose someone to something outside of what the usually collect.

I just wish my recipient would go ahead and open theirs!!!! The suspense of what they will think about the gift is killing me as much as the suspense of what I received!!! 2x's the suspense is not healthy!!

I definitely received more from my SS than anyone else... they sent me 50 TRILLION dollars! So cool.

And my first ancient. Pretty cool to think the person who struck this had no idea where it would be one or two thousand years from then. It's in the New World now!

Another interesting piece from 1918. Looks French.

And finally a 1909 VDB with some nice color. :)

I must have made it on the nice list. Thank you Secret Santa this was way more than I expected!
