I found today this coin. Someone can tell me something about that? Is this sesterius, As, Follis, Dupondius,... And who(person is on coin) 11g 26mm
Marcus Aurelius as Caesar AE As. 153-4 AD. OBV: AVRELIVS CAESAR AVG PII FIL, draped bust right REV: TR POT VIII COS II S-C, Salus standing left feeding snake in arms & leaning on column. REF: RIC 1319[pius], Cohen 670.
Thank for answer. So this is then Dupondius ? When I was google This is like the As, but the metal is made of brass instead of bronze. Brass is a yellow metal and is commonly confused by newbies as gold. However, it is easier to just look at the bust as they will will feature a radiate bust. These range in size from about 27-28mm in size But this coin isn't yelow? One of your link you give me there is also I read "AE As" and other link thay say Depundois So this is AS or Dupondius?
You are the man. I have never found anything worth telling anyone about with my metal finding machine !
Very nice. I think you told me that you sell coins, right? If you do I might be interested, maybe. If you don't sell then don't worry about it.
