First slabbed military trade token from the 20th century I've seen. I don't like it, I think this will drive prices up. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Arizona-Tok...303?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35e1e589c7
"Breath deep the gathering gloom..." Moody Blues I wonder how they would grade a counter stamp coin to "market" standards when the market doesn't care that it's a slick.
Saw the Moody Blues in 2000...2001 maybe. Good show. I think it was earlier this year I first heard NGC was going to start slabbing more things and among them were tokens listed in Cunningham. I'm sure many of mine would not grade because of environmental damage.
It is, started 2004, used till late 2008 or early 2009 when the edgeviews that had been introduced for the small dollars with edge letters in 2007 were extended to all coins. So the slab is a minimum of five years old and a maximum of ten.
I agree. I hope it was part of a bulk submission because the cost of having that token graded is more than it's worth. Good to know, thank you! For some reason I thought NGC slabbing tokens listed in Cunningham was new like 2013 or so. I disagree with the grade. In my opinion here's what an uncirculated should look like: This one is similarly colorized/painted and has no patches of color missing. On the Gila Bend token the high points appear to be worn. I have a few other examples from a couple other bases but none of them loaded to my gallery yet.
