Nice Morgan dollar. PCI do upgrade well in Gold holder I had my 1878 7/3 Vam 32 Graded by Ngc and it went from MS 62 to MS 63+ How I did it was cut top off were grade was PCI puts Vam number below grade I had cut off. Try it it's not free but changed price big time for mine.
Yea I was already thinking it would do well at NGC. I was debating how to send it in though since they don't do crossovers from PCI. I was thinking to just send it in the slab with a crackout authorization form, since if I crack it out it loses the pedigree of being in an older PCI slab which I figured would help it since it's a toner.
Yea the toning looks completely natural and it comes from a very reputable dealer for toners. I've never sent a toner like this to NGC before and I'm worried about getting hit with a random AT designation despite it looking good.
New hefty silver roman tetradrachm I got for $30 total. Trajan Decius (249 - 251 A.D.) Billon Tetradrachm Syria, Seleucis and Pieria O: AYT K Γ ME KY TPAIANOC ΔEKIOC CEB, Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right; Z below. R: ΔHMAPX EΞOYCIAC / S C. Eagle standing left on palm branch, wreath in beak. 26mm 11.5g Prieur 548
Just came into this coin. Nothing special but has some family history so it's a keeper. It will most likely find its way to NGC just for ease of storage. Although I hate looking at a purple details holder
Beautiful Mat @@@@@!@! I.need to get you to find me one like this Iam sure my grandpa passed down a Gold one something like this one. It in my bank box's. I would like find one like that to have s pair gold and silver. ;-)
Picked up these dimes for less than silver, about $1.13 each. Some of the grades are pretty normal but there was two really nice 1964 ones. Pretty sure one is a proof (except for the fingerprints someone put on them). Still a great find!
Why not just put it in an airtite? I do that with lower value coins. It's a good way to keep it without all the expense.
Buy your own holder for it. Some of the world coin holders or light house holders. Then you have a slab you can put in a box.
Is that the 1997 SMS Jefferson? What is the grade it looks 69 to me but couldn't get good look at steps appear full though. Nice coin I love the Jeffs thanks to some CT members who have helped with my education of them.
I love the 72 DDO's I have not purchased this variety but got a real nice 1972P 1DO-003 ms64rd the other day for about half what they sell for on ebay and bought a raw example from a high rated seller that had a crappy picture and no attribution in the description other than double die 1972 took a chance and it was also 1DO-003. Would say it's AU 53+ and got it for $4. I think it was worth that. Yours is super nice.
That'll make you drool. BEAUTIFULLLLLL just curious where you found it. SUPER COOL TONING!!!!!!!!!!! Even moderns can be outstanding as this one attest too
