@Mainebill yep, I was hoping I'd get it in the picture. Came through pretty close to what it looKS like in hand.
Beauty of a coin I'm saying 64 got a few marks I think keep it from any higher their tougher on smaller coins for that.
I think I just found the coin I'm looking to replace the G08 placeholder for my Type Set!! It's beautiful. I did notice some rim dings around the 6 o'clock reverse.
Far far better then anything I got in my type set. One I haven't upgraded got a few avg circ is all want to upgrade to a nice proof I think
no proofs for me, I like coins intended for circulation, XF40 is my goal, but I do have some UNC and even a few as bad as FR02
My lowest circ strike in my type set is po-1 with a cac! (Wreath cent) my highest ms 66 one 66 is a cac (1851 large cent) one a star (Morgan dollar with great toning) got a Pf 67 walker too I love 19th c proofs especially seated libertys and my favorite trade dollars
That's really cool to have something PO-1 and have it verified. That coin must have immeasurable history. Seated Liberties are very beautiful and the Trade Dollar is my current elusive hunt. I guess better said: I don't have the budget for it
@Seattlite86 LOL...prolly should be. I bought it for my V nickel set, of which most are in VF to XF range, this one and my 1883 no cents are in MS range and they don't match the rest of the set, they kinda stick out in the album. I got this dude for XF money though, couldn't pass it up. I'm like you though, would rather have circ strikes with wear. They have a storgy to tell. Edited, sorry, thought you were talkin about the V nic...
I'd sag worth it in xf according to pcgs price guide $40 in ms 64 $300 in 65 $500 that being retail but...
If you got that for XF, then good purchase indeed. And yes, I was actually talking about the V Nickel since it was a thought I had and you asked for thoughts.
Sorry, that was for the V Nickel, but I will message you the next time I get a coin allowance from my wife I have an extensive want list.
