Found a 92d penny and a site I visited said it was a common 92 denver CAM. Thats new to me so I'll ask on here.
A what? CAM is for "cameo" and it is only for proofs. Proofs were not made in Denver (in 92, they were made in San Francisco). I have no idea what you are talking about. You have a circulated 92D cent, and it is worth about $0.01.
In this case the OP is asking about Lincoln cent transitional varieties. CAMs and WAMs. To the OP yours looks like a normal reverse for '92, so yes it would be worth one cent.
Sheesh, and I thought a closed head two dot tong or a protruding head boo was getting down to the nitti gritti, guess not!
Went back and tracked down the site I mentioned. Its called coin community and a person has a coin like mine and all commentors on their are going on about it being a closed AM. I take it they are all wrong?
I wasn't doubting it, i was just saying there are alot of people on that other site giving out bad info
Could it be that the coin in question on the other site is indeed of the close AM variety while yours simply is not? Perhaps you could post the link, but as it stands, the above would seem the most likely scenario.
Thank you. While I only have a phone-size screen to view the photos, what was suggested in my earlier post does appear to be the case; the subject of the other forum's discussion looks to indeed be of a different variety than yours.
