Haven't added anything for a while. Picked up this hard to find 1991 1000 Pesos. This was a trial coin from Mexico and never issued. Not the best but what I could find. Still looking for a better example but it will fill a hole for now.

Some silver bought for Xmas gifts. The elephant for my daughter, the Koala for the wife, and the Noah's Ark for me.

Just won this little beauty. It's an Argentina 1913 Centenario Medal. The listing states that it was struck from original (8R) 'modified' dies found in the mint. If that's true, it would kind of be like a restrike, albeit in copper and not silver. Any way, looks interesting, can't wait to get it... Anybody know anything about this guy?

    Spirityoda,

I think it's time for a picture of your Baden kreuzer griffin set. Many of the German states coins are attractive in a wide range of denominations. Yours are really nice coins. Congrats on the set completion.

Don't know much about these but they totally fit into the Argentina/ Paraguay/ Uruguay collection of minors, tokens and medals. Got off eBay. Evidently they are from a 'Gentlemen's Club' in Uruguay. Racy! But in hand are very nice and well struck. I like the reverse of both. Kind of Art Deco on the 10 'pesos'.
