It is funny because in my mental image of people I associate them with their avatar. Bing I see as Mark Antony, AJ as APius, TIF as Arethusa, etc.

I wish. Mark Anthony was suppose to be one of the most handsome men in Rome.

This Avatar coin reminded me of my childhood. I remembered all the things I used to buy with this small coin. Those were happy days.. It's nostalgia. Then the ancient Phoenician ship is a symbol of adventure and ambition, I imagine. Besides, it's a symbol of my tiny country.

Like many US coin collectors I began my collecting life sorting through coins & filling the holes that Whitman provided. My dad then bought me a Dansco 7070 album and my collecting interests snowballed from there.

I then spent some years learning about & collecting mint state & proof US type coins.

I joined CoinTalk & thought my double struck Liberty nickel would be an appropriate avatar. (High grade type Liberty nickel error coin). I never changed the avatar at CT. In recent years, I have assembled a larger library & have a larger interest in World & ancient coins. I'm not planning to change the avatar but perhaps this Roman ancient error type coin would be a good candidate:

gawd ... I'd definitely shed your current version (it's kinda like you're still wearing your tux from your Junior High prom)

... oh, and I'd choose the indent brockage error out of those two choices ...

I'm an atheist ("atheist" is not a proper noun and should not be capitalized in most instances) and your avatar doesn't bother me in the least. Live and let live.

My avatar is a photo my son took of me about two years ago. He did some background work but that is me.

It's funny, Angelo - you were using a different avatar for a while, and when you posted that one, to me, you looked exactly how I pictured you. :)
