I would like to participate

 

Where I'm strictly us coin based is where my gifts will be but if I got an ancient or something different id find it educational just cause I only collect in a specific area it don't mean I don't sppreciate other coins. I just can't afford all the stuff I want in the field I collect so I don't branch out. I hope others feel the same and are willing to expand there horizons.

 

This looks to be a great year with so many participants.I agree with a lot of the previous comments. Last year I received some new things that I had not considered before. They made a great complement to my collection.

 

I've already sent a PM and I think it will be fun. I don't know what I'll be sending but I do know it will be made out of metal.

Congratulations guys and girls, we have already hit 60 participants.

A few thoughts about the proposed splintering of the Secret Santa to specific areas of collecting. I don't see any problem with those collectors who collect a certain thing to want something that is more of their interests, and would be happy to accommodate them to a point. It would be very difficult for me to pair each of you to a member that shares your same interests, but when I pick out all of the names, I can leave a message to your Santa letting them know what you collect and leave it up to them to decide what they want to send.

For me, I like getting the random gift. Two years ago a member sent me a couple of new Canadian cents (amongst other cool coins), but it led to me buying an album and starting a collection. This marked the first time that I actively collected a series outside of US coins. I may even do another Canadian set after I'm finished.

It will be ready to send the day I get the Secret Santa name

 

Holy cow 4 years already? I'm in.

Can't swing international shipping this year, though (danged car died so I have a car payment and higher insurance now).

 

Can't believe this time of year is hear again! I've got some great ideas though!

 

I agree with krispy and jallengomez. I only spend my money on the stuff I'm collecting even though there's lots of things I like. Getting something cool from something I don't normally collect would be a nice change of pace.

 

Just that this was US only...well that kind of sucks. Oh well.

This is my first I'm really excited to see what I get I went through my stuff lastnight and got a few items in mind

 

I would rather prefer trading/gifting with someone that collects world coins. but I am open to suggestions.

 

I'm open to anything even though all my focus is Ancients. This could really be interesting.

 

I'm thinking is gonna be a lot of fun. What I give is gonna depend who I get. I'll try to tune it to their likes as much as I can

 

We now have 68 wonderful members participating. (I have to say that there are many more ladies on our forum than I ever knew.)

If any of you would prefer to receive something within your collecting relm, please let me know and I'll either try to match you with similar preferences or just let your Santa know what you like. Please keep in mind that whatever they give is purely out of generosity and as a measure of creating a more personal community forum here. They may just be giving what they have already selected out of their collection that they think you may like. And PLEASE post some images and aknowledge your Santa when you open your gift so that the know it arrived safely.

That being said, I only added one more person today. Get your name in as soon as you can.
