1989 penny double die I think

    hello I am fairly new to this and was search my penny collection and founf the 89 penny. on the back across the top of each letter in "united states of America" (some more noticeable than others) you see silver color. I used a hand held microscope to look further into it and found that the letters in "united states of America" and " one cent " are doubled. is this anything significant?

    I'd say not one cent, but .... it's worth one cent.

    Even the metallic content is worth less than a cent.

    Literally tons of them out there, as stated, a plating problem.
