It looks like only 9,720 set will be lucky enough to have it certify as first day issue, first strike etc. And the second batch delivery date will be quite late. The rest, 40,280 set will be junk like. And who owned those 9,720 set. It will be very very few people. I read that some institutional bought quite a lot. Anyway. I do not have any. And I won't buy any. Specially after announcement "out of stock". Cause it is not silver. And I do not collect clad. Period.

I think satin finish is better than enhanced uncirculated. And proof is better than reverse proof. Why people like the latter. Cause it is simply fewer and price can be manipulated to higher.

  4. Looks like 14,073 set were sold to date.

How can it have that many left & be out of stock? Lol

Out of stock is different from sold out. The mint stated that it was temporary out of stock. The maximum is 50,000. So the mint should process them again and again until all 50,000 sell out.

Maybe they just haven't assembled that many yet. The Mint often only has a fraction of the total authorized available at release time. This is related to "Just in Time" manufacturing and reducing inventory carried. Makes perfect business sense.

Sold Out? The US Mint shows that only 14,703 have been ordered.

I see where its Out of Stock but certainly not Sold Out.

I "think" that the "Out of Stock" with the inability to order may be related to the new website format. Of course, the greed hogs may have ordered these by the thousands and the Out of Stock is simply and indicator that they don't have any in stock and they won't be in stock due to back orders.

The "Remind Me" button only signs you up for an email subscription which is kinda weird but then, the entire website is kinda weird. Silly Brits!

with ebay telling us average price is around $40.00. and a lot of people willing to buy it. the mint will continue to sell them until the 50,000 end. why not. the mint cost them $2.00 plus other minimal fees. the price is $13.95 plus shipping.

At this point in the year, they will have a hard time minting enough in the remaining days of the year to do so.

With the intial 9,000+ sets out already, the early release / first strike designations deadlines with the TPGs will pass before the next round can be released, if they are released.

Any remaining sets released will fall in value greatly from the issue price.

Who says they have to mint more? Probably all they need to do is assemble coins and bills into the packages. Could keep doing that from stocks of minted coins for a long time. We know they can continue selling 2014 products long past when they can MINT them.

I hope the mint will have the stock to sell in time for x'mas.

These are available for order on us mint website. Says back order status. Better hurry if you still want one. I was able to order a bunch just now.

I have three from the original release. The enhanced dollar is very nice and most likely will always carry a premium.

As expected. The average price for this set is down from $40.00 to $31.50. And it is expected to fall further due to more people order it and more available to sell. With initial price at $13,95. Below $25,00 is quite possible.
