Agree Sam, but if he wants to get that kind of money, good pictures that proves his assertion would be necessary.

Yikes. Again, hope someone doesn't fall victim to this listing. I know, knowledge is power, but I still don't like to see this.
you missed the 1944 Walking liberty half dollar: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1944-walkin...29?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item2c910447a5 a real steal! and "not a reproduction".
Something I've been noticing....I can get some stuff cheaper BUY IT NOW that I can in an auction. I just got outbid at over 25 dollars on 3 different Canada proof sets (3 separate auctions), I just bought two Canada proof sets for $23 SHIPPED! They were up for several days too. This is not the only thing I see sell higher in an auction then a buy it now.
Yes. I went up to $30 shipped on a '86 in auction, got mad at looked at the buy it nows, snagged one for $23 shipped.
So you bid at $30 shipped in the auction, then you went looking for a BIN? If you're asking why items go higher in auctions than in BIN, I think you've just answered your own question.
Check out this seller, tons of slabbed coins, BUT... $10 shipping per slab, ouch! http://www.ebay.com/itm/1881-S-MS-6...66?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item2344f15a66
