    I'd be happy to walk through the standard process for assigning a grade to an incuse Indian, but I'm all out of eye of newt.

    Somewhere between 35 and 50?

    Very cool and a good buy at current prices. I'm curious how many of these later date gold pieces were melted. I'm sure the mintage figures are wrong but the question is what percentage remains.

    I suspect they were just a bit more charitable with the grade. . . AU Details, Cleaned.

    Thanks for everyone's input. The LCS is calling it "AU".

    Sorry that the obverse pic is blurry.

    What about the coin tells you that it is cleaned? I noticed some wear on the headdress feathers and a few possible hairlines near the date... is that it?

    In front of the face and near the date are several tiny scratches....these indicates light cleaning.

    Not a series I'm good at but saying xf details cleaned still if just over melt a likely good buy at the current low price of gold

    Nah, he wanted $300 for it. Glad I passed on it.
