Can someone please provide me with Greysheet prices for $2.5 gold coins in the following grades: - EF40 - AU50 - AU58 - MS62 - MS63 - MS64
While I know what you are asking you first need to specify that you are asking about common date, generic coins. And then pick some various dates/mints, types.
LIBS: $240/265 - EF40 $275/300 - AU50 $300/325 - AU58 $370/400 - MS62 $450/490 - MS63 $560/610 - MS64 INDIANS: $225/245 - EF40 $230/255 - AU50 $250/275 - AU58 $315/345 - MS62 $460/500 - MS63 $590/640 - MS64 Dirt cheap, if you ask me . . .
Because there are plenty of better dates lumped in with the distinctly common ones, and they can actually be bought for the above prices if you search for them. While not truly scarce or rare coins, those dates currently represent a very good value.
Thanks, @ToughCOINS ! I have some Greysheets but they're a few weeks/months out of date and I wanted to make sure that the drop in gold prices didn't affect these too much. How would I find the better dates? Just look at those in the Greysheets (or Redbook) that have higher prices and/or lower mintage numbers?
