Mine is a Monster toned 1970 D Kennedy? I have never seen one for sale, in fact I have never seen one period. I need it to finish my set, but at this point I may never finish.
A South Korean 10 Won coin, Bronze Variety (88% Copper 12% Zinc), 1970. Graded NGC MS-65. Seen lots of 64s, and I have one of those myself, but nothing higher. Big, freakin' white whale, man. This 64 isn't mine, but I do have one!
I have lots but just off the top of my head...$1.00 Rocker's Roost Cannon Air Force Base token and any from McChord Air Force Base.
I'm with @KoinJester, that 67 with rays will remain the only proof nickel that I don't have for the foreseeable future. Unless you count the 1913 of course.
Don't know, it's not mine. Looked it up in the Ha. Archives, the only toned one I saw. I wonder if the sniffer would bark....
Mine is this one... necessary for 100% completion of the set, which I can't figure out why, since it is more of an error strike. Will cost over $8000 to get one. http://www.pcgs.com/SetRegistry/coinfacts.aspx?i=780403&sid=75263
Perhaps an 8 Escudos gold Ecuador Quito doubloon, would be nice. It’s the coin nailed to the mast of the Pequod in Moby Dick.
My numismatic white whale is the 1950-D Jefferson Nickel. I am currently on my 7th coin and still not satisfied. I just don't like the luster on this one.
Really? It's a little flat-looking, but not that darned bad! If you were to tilt it and rotate it in a video, I'm sure you could show some luster on that coin. "Still" images can deceive.
