Tell me what you think caused this on this NGC MS68RD 1991 Lincoln Memorial

    I posted this on the post your Lincoln site so hopefully without troll problems I could get some info on the cause of this. First picture of the entire coin you can see the slight doubling along Lincoln's nose and from his lower lip to his chin. the 2nd photo is a close up of LIBERTY and the 3rd is a close up of the date.     I don't think NGC attributes machine doubling.

    No they do not. I just wanted to know if my opinion of this coin and the cause is correct. Machine doubling was my thoughts on it and was looking for some info. Thanks Chris

    Yeah, I'm pretty sure that Bob Campbell can attribute machine doubling, too, but he doesn't list it on his photos.

    Looks like a very slight shift southwest. The coin could have even been sharper, currently it's out of focus! ;)
