A dryer cent or is it?

So I have sorta assumed this was a dryer cent for some time now. Is it possible to have one side with the results of a laundered coin with the other being totally untouched? The wavy circular pattern on obverse has always baffled me. Any thought would be greatly appreciated!

I would think if it were a dryer coin the reverse would be abused as well. Can't wait to see what the experts say

Your coin looks to me like it was struck through a die cap, Cylii.

Yes Briboy I have seen that link[emoji6]! Sorry I sorta ganged up on y'all at once. I put these two aside while going through grandpas hoard. I try to figure them out on my own but sometimes I get stumped. Thanks for the help everyone!
