I got a deal on this one, but it's so worn I can't see the mintmark. Are there other differentiating factors besides this?

I'd post a pic but my microscope camera is too high magnification (20x + 2 or 4 for the objective) and I have a crappy digital camera.

I can post crappy pics if people want, or a 40X view of where the mint mark should be if it would help (dubious).

Try moving that "crappy" digital camera closer the coin so it fills up the field.

That won't help if the digicam can't focus any closer.

@RabidRick, does your camera have a "Macro" setting? If not, can you crop the photo down to just the coin before posting it?

Then how would anyone authenticate it? If it can't be seen, it is a 1921. There is no chemical for raising a mintmark on silver like with nickel. If it is worn that much , any markers would be indistinguishable also.

I tried; I think it's just a cheap POS. Even on macro it won't focus if it's too close. I want to buy one of these:

I want to put it in a hole, but not when I don't know which one it really is. Eh, I might just save it. It was under ten bucks (4 or 5, I think) so I said "the heck with it." But I'm not putting it in my Whitman, maybe my binder but I'll probably end up selling it once I've accumulated enough crap at home the price will warrant posting it.

(I'm generally very busy, and unless I go to FedEx it's too much time to wait in line. If the coin is hundreds, than maybe.)
