Hey All, Not sure if this is it, but it sure looks like the DDO-019 on Variety Vista by Larry Neinaber, Hope so. Lots of pics sorry about that, prob two parts. Very shaky hands today, tried my best with what I have. Thanks all!!!!!
Second part do not know if you can see it, but the hair ends near the R seem split. Hope this turns out to be something
I don’t think this matches the 64D DDO-019, note the light triple spread on the hair around the R of LIBERTY on the 019. This attached photo is from the discovery half dollar. I don’t think this matches anything in the CONECA listings, although it is a doubled die obverse. Larry Nienaber
Oh it is a triple, ty.... I see a single split on the hair but only one. The best news is you said it is doubled!!!!!! This is a coin from my Mother's jewelry box, she has 15 silver pieces American and Foreign. This is all for her. Is something like this one worth sending in for her? THANK YOU LARRY!!!!
You guys thank you so much!!!! Should I get this one slabbed for her (My Mom)? It was the second coin out of 15 that I pulled out & I have the others to go through still (GD START!!!). Been at Dr apts. Wow!!!!! Ty!!!!
So send it to NCS maybe then to NGC or PCGS? If you guys think it would be worth it for my Mom, I will do it.
Offer to buy it from her for .75 cents. Then you'll be on your way to being a dealer! I keed! I keed!
What you would have to do is, get it slabbed by a TGC, NGC, or pcgs will only grade it, I don't think they would put a variety on it, only this grading company does that
You would have to call them and ask them if they do conservation, but, you would have to send to an error expert first, then they would send it to ANACS, and I know the perfect person for the job !!!!!!!!
You should think about sending it to James Wiles http://www.varietyvista.com/Attribution Services.htm Larry Nienaber
I'll second that Motion! ANACS could very well screw up the attribution but the CONECA folks won't because it's "their" database that is being used by ANACS and ANACS simply does not have access to that database of photographs.
Well GD news and bad news....Mr Wiles saw the pics and confirmed I found a DDO that's the GD. The bad is that he said it is to small for the CONECA files Well at least I really got one and there is still hope for the Swiss 5FR
