I used to listen to a lot of heavy metal when I was younger, but I've mellowed out. I like peaceful music now. Here's a guy who writes original compositions in ancient modes and plays them on a replica Greek lyre...

Well, granted that's a bit dull, but it is interesting to hear what the ancients' music might have sounded like. They didn't notate it, but we do know what modes they used, and we do have their instruments in museums, which can be replicated. We've seen plenty of those lyres on coins - I think it's interesting to actually hear one and watch it being played.

Wow, it's great to see that your son is advancing with his acordian studies (see, I told you earlier that those Nabobnean Queen coins are a bad influence!!)

I still like your Vandalic/imitative/whatever cross coin Mat ;) Even though I wouldn't be able to attribute them I still want a couple of them similar to your coin or in better shape (don't have any so far).

sunny and beautiful this aftenoon (-6 celsius, so snow could be landing and staying any day now, but so far, so good => I am still able to ride my mountain bike) ...

NOTE => Halloween is always considered "the snowiest day of the year" (run children, run!!)

... hopefully, this year will be clear as a bell for the lil' Draculas!! (nuthin' wrecks a costume more than a down-jacket over-top and a crying face underneath)

The pumpkin looks nice. :D And this is one strange thread. Pumpkin, music and coins?

I think we influence each other too much when it comes to purchasing coins. Would be much better if we just lend the coin to each other for a few months. o_O
