hey i got my first box of pennies i want to do half dollars now ive checked 2 banks they said they where out how you get your half dollars?
Not all banks will order them for you. After some coaxing I have my credit union ordering me $5,000 in halves each week. But it took a while to find someone willing to order them.
Many banks have a vault teller who does all the coin ordering. In my experience most banks wont have many boxes lying around. They normally on keep around a box and any CWRs. Call around to a few banks in your town and ask to speak with the vault teller and explain what you are looking to do. Be courteous as you have a better chance of them granting your request if you are polite. Good luck, and if you have any other questions about halves feel free to ask.
