1922 D and 1923 Peace Dollars VAMS?

    I picked up 4 Peace Dollars today for $18 a peace. I looked at two of them and tell me what you think. I picked these up for Silver investment (even though I overpaid for silver value). I am not at all familiar with VAMs or Peace Dollars for that matter. I just looked at a few pictures and read a little bit. So just need opinions on these.

    1922-D. I noticed within the crown spikes only and nowhere else what seems to be extra metal.

    1923. In the hair. About where her ear would be, just southwest of hair bun. I am not sure if this is a VAM or not since I am not experienced enough. It does not look PMD to me. Take a look.

    What about the 1922-D? What could that be? Any idea?

    take a farther image of the die break in the hair, yours is to close up, hard to tell, it is a vam, just which one is it

    Its looks like a build up of years of exposure, on thoses spikes !!!

    Not this one, but I'll check from your new images, could be an add-on to one of the vams, for that year, and mint-mark !!!!!
