1955 Wheat Cents...Any Good?

    I've attached some 1955 Pennies collected by my better half and I.
    They are in 3 sections: Blank mintmark ("P"), Denver ("D"), and San Francisco (S").

    Please let me know if they look like anything worthwhile.

    .50 - 2.50 Red being the best.

    You can get 2-3 times face value at a coin store, otherwise they're just cool momentos of our nation's history.

    It might just be the pic , but it looks pinkish to me so probably cleaned . They're not worth much but are cool . I usually toss them in change and hope some young kid finds them and they get interested in our great hobby . I do the same with Buffalo nickels and Indian head cents .

    Well I love wheat cents, but then I love Pre 64 Dimes through Half's, hold on to it.
    you'll never no, this might be the last time you'll see it.

    You should be looking for harshly cleaned cents? Why?

    I guess you'll are rigth. It's been cleaned. But Red is the color coin you want.

    Quite a few 1955-S cents were saved because it was the last year of S struck Lincoln's. That is until they resumed again in 1968.
