    On the bright side, if I was filling a Indian cent album I would rather have this coin over a slick with that green crust all over it. If the prices were similar.

    I imagine a messy divorce here. Husband wants his prized coin collection as part of the divorce settlement. Wife, still living in the home says "sure, I'll get it for you and drop it off at our next hearing" and gets busy with his favorite coin and a knife.

    The 1877 cent is priceless. Ulysses Sam Grant left it to a attentive servant but accidentally scratched the coin on a Tea Pot during his goodbye luncheon at the capital dome. The coin gained fame years later and became known as the "Tea Pot Dome" scandal. And now you know the rest of the story.
