WOW!!!1!!! OMG it has a W mint mark?!?! I know that its supper rare! oh ps: what do u use to make the FX like that? Is it a program?
The "W" is not a mintmark. It is the artist's initials. Reference: http://coincollector.org/vault/coin.html?cat=3&id=11 Designer: Adolph A. Weinman Designer's Initials: AW on the right of the neck.
I use a free program called PhotoScape and no it's not rare as a coin but VERY rare to find in change and the W as in dwhiz LOL
My very best coin roll find has to be this one. It is featured on the PCGS CoinFacts Page ( http://www.pcgscoinfacts.com/Coin/Detail/146082 ) and is currently the top pop of only 2 coins. The lower grade example (AU50) sold in a Heritage Auction in January 2012 for $1265 (which includes Buyers Premium) ( http://coins.ha.com/itm/washington-...r-is-donating-a-portion-of-the/a/1166-11049.s ) and to date, the population still stands at only 3 "confirmed" examples.
My best find was also my first find and the coin that got me interested in collecting as a kid. Got it out of a vending machine, no less.
@Steven A you should share that pic over in this thread https://www.cointalk.com/index.php?threads/254282/ The start of a collection
